Hi,

Sustainable Lives is about building ways of living that can be carried forward, personally, professionally and in community.

I’m Victor Chambers, a social worker with a background in systems-level work, community projects and long-term helping roles. I’ve spent most of my life thinking and learning about how people live, think, feel and engage in communities.

My professional work is informed by clinical practice, coaching, and many years of involvement in systems and community-based roles.

My day-to-day role as a therapist takes place in a behavioral health clinic. The work I do here involves coaching, writing, exploring ideas, and building longer-termed-projects.

This is not a clinical space. It is a space for thinking, writing and working on projects that support sustainable lives.

If you’re interested in working together, you can learn more here:

If you’re interested in the broader ideas and projects, you can read about them here:

Projects and Writing – Brief overview of projects.

Concept and Development – A more detailed mission/vision statement.

Philosophy and Development – In depth philosophy and some narrative history of the ideas.

References – This shows the literature which has helped me develop and support the ideas I’ve developed.

Sincerely,

Victor Chambers, LMSW (NY)
